For Cincinnati City Council

Donald Washington is a son of Cincinnati, born and raised in Over-the-Rhine during the ’90s and early 2000s. Growing up here gave him a front-row seat to the real challenges our families face every day. It’s that lived experience that drives his passion and commitment to serve on Cincinnati City Council.
A proud graduate of Purcell Marian High School, Donald enlisted in the U.S. Air Force at just 17, eventually serving a tour in Iraq. He returned home with a renewed sense of purpose to really give back to the city that helped shape him.
Education is something Donald believes is forever ongoing. He attended college and earned multiple degrees to keep the fire of learning burning. That same mindset drives his vision for a city that invests in growth, opportunity, and lifelong development.
Back in Cincinnati, Donald launched several small businesses and dedicated his time to mentoring local youth. Through those conversations, he saw the same struggles he once faced still holding others back such as systemic barriers, lack of opportunity, and leadership that felt out of touch with the community.
Those moments lit a fire in him. Donald believes real change starts from the ground up with us. That’s why he’s stepping up to run as an independent candidate for Cincinnati City Council: to be a voice for the people, to push for solutions that actually work, and to create opportunities that lift everyone in our neighborhoods.
He’s asking for your support and not just in donations, but in energy, in action, and in spreading the word. Let’s get registered, let’s get engaged, and let’s build a Cincinnati that works for all of us.
